OBJECTIVE:

The Objectives of this project is to carry out detailed Engineering for laying the fuel piping from the outlet of PECO Filter at WIP Cellar Deck to the inlet of PECO Filter for the three associated gas compressor Packages GIP-A, GIP-B GIP-C. The scope included the following activities.

  • Process Simulation study
  • Header Piping structure
  • PVC Sizing
  • Installation of 2" spool instead of PCV-657
  • Adequacy check of total system

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:-

  • Line sizing calculations to check whether the parameters velocity, Mach number and pressure drop in the fuel gas line (from WIP to GIP) are within the limits as per API-14E, for the given flow rates and operating conditions.
  • HYSYS Simulation
    1. STUDY 1: Parallel Operational Scenario with PCV in place
    2. STUDY 2: Parallel Operational Scenario with 2 inch pipe spool in place instead of PCV.
